Hello,

My name is Jack Daniels and I am currently studying BTEC Level 3 Public Services. This year, I achieved Distinction* Distinction (200 UCAS points).

September, I shall be applying to the University Of Central Lancashire to study Policing and Criminal Investigation (bachelor degree). Then maybe, a masters degree in Criminal Investigation. Whilst holding a Special Constable position within Lancashire Constabulary.

I seriously want to be the best I can be in preparation for not only University, but I want to be the best candidate for Officer and Aircrew Selection Center (OASC) and hopefully, the best RAF Police Officer in the future. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations on how I can do this? And what are your experiences with RAF Police Officers (how they behave? Qualifications? And if they are liked around base? RAFP Officers experience within policing?)

Thank you in advance,
Jack Daniels

JD, cracking name.

I would say that you should just concentrate on getting to the University you want, enjoying it, get involved with societies, be a special constable if thats what you want and just get your degree done.

No need to worry about OASC 3-4 years before you apply though i admire your attitude.

The RAF Police are the 'most hated' trade in the RAF, but thats by immature individuals and shouldn't put you off. At the end of the day each person has their own role/trade and we all work towards the same objective so don't let rumours or banter put you off whatever job/role it is that you want to go for.

May I ask why you are specfically interersted in being a RAF Police Officer rather than civvi?

Hello AlphaTango and thank you for replying.

Ever since I was a child, I have been interested in joining the RAF and I have always wanted to be a Police Officer. So I did more research and came across the RAF Police Officer role and since then, I have set my dreams on that specific profession.
