What should I do? (Girlfriend advice)

Within the last week my best friend broke up with her boyfriend. (I'm male btw). I've liked her for a long time and we've pulled a few times while she was seeing him. :s-smilie:

It became a bit awkward between us since they broke up but I made her feel really special on valentines day and we went out clubbing that night. Neither us were drunk, but we had a few drinks... anyway i plucked up the courage to kiss her and we were all over eachother for the rest of the night.

When we got back to my room I asked her if she really liked me or if she was drunk and she said she does want to give things a go with me.

This morning I saw her again and it was slightly awkward at first but we both still feel the same about eachother.

Now ideally I'd like to wait a while to make sure she isn't on the rebound, (she promises me she isn't), but we've agreed to take things slowly and not go public yet or anything like that.

I'm slightly worried because we had a bit of a thing a few months ago while she was single but we went on for weeks not really doing very much and it fizzled out. I don't want the same to happen here. I've told her that and she agrees.

Do you think we're doing the right thing taking it slow and what can I do to avoid it fizzling out again?

Thanks

Yeah, i'd take things very slowly so neither of you are hugely hurt if it doesnt work out for you both.

Spent time together, get to know each other on a relationship level, go on dates and more importantly HAVE FUN!

Enjoy yourself
