CRAZY dreams!!! (sorry, a bit of a long one)

Can anyone explain this one? I had a dream (well in truth several dreams last night). In one I was going to the toilet in school (even though I've left). As I went to leave I heard someone come out of one of the cubicles and start shooting at me (I couldn't see them because I was facing the door, but I knew I was getting shot at because bullets hit the door), As I bolted out a man grabbed me and alerted people around that there was a gunman, but then HE threw me to the ground and started shooting at me HIMSELF   (two shots hit the ground around me before I woke up). It was like something from CSI!

In another, there was this skater that was getting followed. He hid in a building and headed up some stairs. He ended up on the open top floor of the building. He checked if he was in the clear and only saw a bum to his right, and so headed in the other direction. As he approached the outdoor stairs, he heard footsteps coming up the original set of stairs, so he quickened up his pace. I was near the stairs outside, and so when I saw him dart off, I immediately looked up and saw a guy in a suit (I know, too much television  ). I started run off out of instinct, and the skater and I headed out in different directions through some woods. We both came out to a cricket pitch (I don't even like cricket!) and heard gunshots. We ran with our heads down and alerted the players on the pitch that were getting shot at (as if they didn't already know ). The guy followed us almost reluctantly onto the pitch as we shouted 'he's got a gun'. The cricket umpire then pulled out some bullets from his pocket, faced the gunman and shouted 'I'VE got a gun' back. The gunman took the gun he had out of his pocket and chucked it at the umpire, as if he was giving up. As we all started cheering and calling for the police simultaneously, the gunman pulled out a SECOND gun and threw at the umpire. The umpire (for some unknown reason) started shooting at the gunman, but as he did so he jerked his hands and started shooting at the CRICKET PLAYERS (it was as if he was being forced against his will, because each time he would try and refocus on the gunman)!! He hit two cricket players and then AIMED AT ME and then I woke up again.

The funny thing was, in the second dream I mentioned, I actually REALISED I was dreaming and tried to change the outcome. I could actually FEEL the mental strain as I tried to divert the umpire from shooting the cricket players (he missed a couple of times as a result). I've had a few of these dreams (they occur very rarely) where I've realised I've been dreaming. Has anyone else had this?

The other thing I wanted to ask is has anyone else had dreams where they wake up before the climax (like waking up before getting shot, as I mentioned). I've had a few which have helped 'save' me from situations, but others which have just FRUSTRATED THE HELL OUT OF ME!! I'll give you an example:

Has anyone had a sex dream, and then woken JUST before intercourse (i.e. penetrative sex)?

(Sorry about being so long :frown: :frown: )

P.S. The accuracy of the dreams is because I've written this about 20mins after I've woken up. And the gun theme comes from watching a piece on gun crime last night (Newsnight)  .
Erm. Those dreams seem pretty coherent. Not a patch on the seriously crazy **** that goes on in my head. Phew. Lucky git.

Anyway, yes, I often know I am dreaming. Really useful when you are having a horrific nightmare because then you can almost sit back and "enjoy" it without thinking that it is real. Lifesaver. And I often direct what my character does, as opposed to letting things happen to me. The effect of this is usualy things going a lot slower and more painfuly than they otherwise might. But waking up before the climax is annoying, almost irrespective of the climax. I often end up thinking, "you made me go through all of that, and I don't even get to know if I die or not??".

Not sure what your dreams mean, as I don't know you, but rest assured that you are normal.
I dreampt my step-mum thought I was disgusting because I dribble too much. Then I woke up, went back to sleep, had a dream about sweets and woke up with dribble on my pillow!

Oh and in between there was another one of those being cheated on dreams. Fun.
my dreams make me laugh.. and then i wake up because i am laughing so incredibly loudly.
my sister drives in her sleep.
