The Student Room Group

Uni mates

Okay i'm lucky enough to have two big groups of friends at Uni. But it causes huge problems too!

So i had to choose who i wanted to live with next year but as i didnt mind i decided to go with the group that was living closer to uni. Decision made it was also a nicer house and had a better male/ female split. The other group were a bit annoyed with me (obviously) because they wanted me to live with them.

Anyway... last night i went out with the group of friends i'm not living with next year, things have been a bit rocky with them because of me spending time with the other group due to sorting out the house but i had a really good night. However a flatmate and a member of this group decided she thought i was a bitch (because i was getting on well [in a mates way] with a guy she'd introduced me to that night) and isnt talking to me, everyones said she's just being immature and i shouldnt make a big deal out of it by trying to make up. So i havent. However that group have gone out tonight and i understand that it could be awkward because we're not talking but i would have still appreciated a text with the details of what was happening etc as yesterday i told them i was coming out :s-smilie:

I wouldnt be too bothered but the group i'm living with next year dont really go out as much as i'd like to i really like these mates to go clubbing with and have fun with. The other group are more the people to chill out with and have a couple of drinks in the pub which is great but i like clubbing too!

My ex boyfriends in the group of friends i'm living with next year (although hes not in my house) so this makes things a bit awkward too we are on speaking terms and friends though!

Its my birthday in a couple of days and a few of my friends are coming down from home, i wanted everyone to go out together but i really dont know what to do now.

Any advice? Should i make a big deal out of making up with my flatmate and give her the attention she wants or not? I'm very reluctant to as everyone knows shes always after attention and i really dont think the reason shes fallen out with me is even a reason!!

Just give her the attention and ignore the issue. Be the bigger woman..:yy:

Yeah, i guess so.

I suppose i just dont want to because this happens every couple of weeks and people always go and fuss over her to make up purely because they dont want to make it awkward for the rest of the group.
