I think you may be a bit of an exception here though, as you're from Norway and Norwegian qualifications etc aren't very well known over here. My boyfriend had similar issues when he was applying.

I don't have norwegian qualifications, my grades are from IB which is international, so i don't think that was the problem, but anyway, it is all sorted now:smile:  (I hope! :p: )

Oh well, ignore what I said then. :p:
I still think you were an exception, though, and as long as it's all sorted now that's what really matters.
if it was me you were talking about with the accomodation applications, i meant i want to apply for my accomodation at another uni, not durham. (and yes, i know, everyone says it's not necessary to get in there straight away but hey, it would feel like i was getting on with something :-) )

Durham should should notice they have a large amount of applicants and deal with it accordingly by hiring more staff or looking at applications earlier instead of leaving them untill after the Janaury deadline.

Well I can guarantee you that they don't leave it all until the January deadline. I applied in October, got an offer in early November for Physics and information for my Engineering interview the very same day.

Many people will have had offers in November and December. Just because they're leaving you until February/March, doesn't mean they're disorganised. Maybe it means they need more time to look over your application and compare you with others, or your college needs more time.

And I love the "Durham should notice..." part of that quotation...

I thought Durham were completely unaware of how many applications they received...

I got the March letter which states they leave most physics offers to read through after the janaury deadline (mind u that might b to make me feel better). Ur application is probably one of the amazing ones they gave an offer to straight off.:p:

Yeah, I kinda wish that mine was that amazing...

Oh well, I'm sure I'll hear from them at some point. It isn't long to go now anyway.
