    edexcel review 1 q18
    deduce that circles touch externally (two circles with same radius)

    for this question, is it enough to say that the midpoint of the line connecting teh circles centres is length 5 from each centre; that means the circumferences touch?

    i hate these questions where you know whats going on but just cant write it down!

    yeah, that would be fine. You could draw a little diagram as welll to make it clear.

    more generally, if the two circles are of different radii,
    you can use the fact that the sum of the radii equals the distance between the centres
