    Hey guys,

I hope you've all had an amazing summer. Yesterday I got my GCSE results back, and I have to say I did really well. However, one thing is bugging me:

I want to do Economics at university, and this year I had the privilege of doing the OCR Economics GCSE, but I got an A overall in the subject. A few of my classmates got A*s in the subject. Would getting an A instead of an A* hinder my chances of getting into a Top 5 university to study Economics?

    Many thanks!

    Lucky you
.... i did AQA and only got a B after getting an A* all year!

Lets hope it doesnt affect us!

Probably not, especially if you take the subject onto A2, which I am presuming that you are .

You probably wont care about this, but try to look at ones out side of top 5 as well. The leader board is not everything and they change yearly. Try to find a place that you will be happy and is affordable.

Also make sure to have an insurance, I know too many people who only applied to the "top 5" and ended up with an insurance and a firm both at high grades, A*AA / AAA and a small slip leads them into clearing.

Good luck with your future exams and well done on GCSEs
