I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to put it as it's not really a computing problem (well, it kinda is), nor is it a music problem. Well, see what you think:

I have downloaded a couple of files off Winmx that are called 'filename.zip.mp3'. My computer has them registered as "Winamp media files" but they don't play in winamp nor in Windows media player. I also cannot unzip them as winzip doesn't recognise them as zip files. Does anybody know how I can either listen to or unzip these strange files as I really want to!

Please help, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Well they could be dud files, but try renaming them to .zip (some programs wont open files, with wrong extention even if totally valid -i use win rar so i dont know about winzip)

Also try downloading the best mp3 player there is:

    http://www.foobar2000.org/

This thing can play any format, and even if the file is in a zip or rar file. Plus it's very customisable and offers dithereing resampling and a load of use full things. Full replay gain support.
