Die Lösung is an incredibly prophetic poem by German playwright, Bertolt Brecht, in 1953. It is a poem applicable to the majority of Western governments and something we should be taking note from. You may consider it purely cynical and hyperbolic, but it's not really.
Translated from German:
After the uprising of the 17th of June
The Secretary of the Writers' Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee
Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government
And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?
This election of another, more sedate, people has never been more evident than this age of social justice. Our indigenous population are ceasing to have children and even marry due to certain policies making it disadvantageous, whilst encouraging mass immigration from all parts of the globe and the poorer the better. Britain needs more state-dependents to grow the government. After all, as Sir Humphrey Appleby puts it in Yes Minister: our success is shown through the height of our staff and budget. The government has been very successful in this endeavour, and in doing so have forfeited the British nation state. We are currently under a covert invasion.
