Hi, in AS I got AAAA and I want to study molecular biology/biotechnology. For my back up uni im trying to decide between Cardiff and Liverpool.

Cardiff and Liverpool seem to have equivalent research facilities (liv does genemill though...). Cardiff looks like is research is more interesting (to me- gene expression/biotech) and its graduates are more employable.
However, Liverpool is a bigger ciy (I come from a rural area so I like cities) and im just abit concerned that Cardiff is a bit isolated from other cities in the uk.
Could any current students at Liv or Cardiff please give me heir opinions it would be very helpful. ie- Whats Cardiff like for pubic transport- does it feel too small/isolated at all?

PS- I am visiting cardiff uni later this year on an open day.

Open days are the best way to get a feel for the uni and if you'd be happy there. Otherwise go with the course you're more interested in. Bear in mind that as an undergrad you'll have little access to research unless you want to be taught by particular people or want to do a specific research project.

Yep, problem is i'm going to a cardiff open day but not liverpool. I'm pretty much decided on Cardiff unless I get an obscenely low offer from Liverpool though because for some strange reaso Cardiff's graduates are much more employable...
