igcse results

Please can someone explain how points are calculated. I have just re sat my maths and biology igsce exam in maths and biology and am totally confused... I believe that they have made a clerical error as how is it possible to get the same amount of points and grade when the boundaries between the 2 exams were very different. When I contacted edexcel, and explained everything, I was told that my maths was wrong and should have been a c and it does seem odd that my results in maths and biology were identical, but I have to go back to the examiner?? thanks you
