LITB4

I am finding this coursework incredibly difficults and am at a point where I feel like giving up. What do i do? Ive started reading the colour purple but have no idea how I will write about that for the critical piece, I may start reading lolita. My comparison piece is harder, although i have a bit of time for that, I dont know what to do. I would like to compare the representation of love in the 21st century with another time period. there are not many novels that are well known and 'good' for the 21st century bit.

WHAT DO I DO.
HELP ME
What do you mean by 'well known' & 'good'? Is it a case of you having to pick a 21st Century book from a list or are you stressed about finding a book which is as scholarly as a classic? If it's the latter I suggest looking at book lists http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20150119-the-21st-centurys-12-best-novels
-Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (2014) - love & marriage
-The Road by Cormac McCarthy (2007) - the love between a father & son in a postapocalyptic world - I know its not exactly 21st century but it feels near future
Other good authors might include: Zadie Smith, Haruki Murakami
