OASC Results

I have recently been through OASC for the second time, the first time I came out with an overall score of 2, and was told to re-apply in 12 months. I did this, and have just come out with a score of 2+, I have been put into the sift and should hear in March. I am concerned that my score is still not competative as most of the people I went through selection with are also in this sift. I am already serving in the RAF, and have spoken to one of the officers that boarded me, and he seems to think that it should be a positive outcome.

Can anyone shed any light?? What scores have others got who have been successfull?:s-smilie:

I got a 3-. Not sure how the scoring system works to be honest!

Further to that I have just found a sheet I have been given explaining the marking. I'll PM you the details. Didn't realise you were serving too!

I just went thru OASC for NCA and am also in the hold for March...out of the 3 guys going Aircrew on my board, the only person to get a start date was a lad already serving, the other 2 are in the hold, myself included.

My final grade was a C+ whatever that means. I am also serving but I am Army.

I would be very interested in seeing how these scores are worked out!

I too would like to know about how the scores are worked out.

It's no so much a marking scheme, just some definitions of what the grades mean relative to likelihood of success at IOT.

Im currently serving and after OASC I was the first to get a date to start nca. Serving personnel get replies quicker because they have already been security checked. Civilians need to be checked which can take anything up to 6 months to do, so they know that the next course doesnt start for however long and that they have time to be very picky!
