i believe i am correct in saying the following:

If you plan to resit AS modules/exams you either must reject your grade outright, or accept it and try and do better. If you reject it, then if you did worse in the resit than how you did when you first took the exam, then you can't use your original mark, because that has been nullified. If you accept an AS grade, then in the resit you can still take your old grade if you happened to do worse.

Regarding the UCAS form, all accepted grades must be recorded. Thus if you are finishing an A Level at the AS stage, you must write that down (unless you reject the grade and retake the necessary AS modules). I suggest you talk to a teacher about not declaring grades, because in some cases it is not advisable (and it may be better to ask your reference writer to comment on your poor performance at AS, explaining what you plan to do about it)

If you decline a grade you don't have to put it on your form. Then you can resit, the highest mark you get is what you get, best out of all the resits you do. It used to be best of three but they changed the rules.

some mad resit info.

say you do a exam and you get 54 then you resit and get 48 the 54 will still count, HOWEVER if you resit again and get 47 they look at that score and your last score and your mark would become 48
