Well I am hoping too.. I am just going to start my A-levels. I'm just concerned that some unis only do specialised healthcare courses. For example you're doing neurophysiology and some unis offer sleep sciences. So are you aware of any unis that do an all rounded health care science course? I don't even know if that made sense. Could I also know what A-levels you did?
There are about 50 diffrent routes for healthcare science. It is a massive area and you will probably have more of an idea what you want to do closer to the time.

I did not take A levels. I did a BTEC when I left school in IT. I got D*D*D* in that. I then did a foundation year in science and got 78% overall. I was made an offer based on this and not the typical entry requirements.

If I was going to study A levels I would definatly study Biology and Chemistry and then choose the rest around my other intrests.

I think with healthcare science you need to decide if you want to be working directly with patients or behind the scenes.

You could ring up NHS careers and ask them for advice. They are really helpfull. They may be able to send you some info in the post too.

I think as you do more studying at A level you will have more of an idea what you want to do.

For life sciences there are alternatives like biomedical science which is more all round.

Or you could have a look into human biology. Or physiology and pharmacology, nutrition, medical sciences ect.

Hope this helps,

Danny
