Are Further Maths and Maths seperate A levels?

Like if you do all 12 modules do you get two separate A levels?

How hard would the workload be if I were to self-teach myself the subjects? Also how expensive would it be for all those modules?

Is your grade decided by solely written examination?
You get 2 different A levels, but it depends on the uni and course whether they actually view it as 2. Some medical schools don't accept it

The workload is pretty big, but if you're good at maths you won't struggle that much. It will be quite expensive, but depends on the school, I was only charged £20 an exam, but they could charge more.

Don't really get this question. All modules are written exams and the same length of time, idk if it is changing with the changes being made to A Levels

Yes, or 3 (Additional Further Maths, 18 modules)

Dunno - largely depends on you. It's 2 A-levels so a reasonable amount of work.

Depends on exam board

So you can actually get 3 A levels just studying Mathematics alone?

What's regarded as the best exam board for Maths generally?

Yes

Edexcel appears to be the most popular

Note that not all exam boards offer sufficient modules for AFM.

Also, while it's not an issue at the moment, the intention is to remove AFM if the planned A level reforms go through!

Not sure if I've imagined it, but doesn't OCR MEI have coursework for one of its modules - possibly C3? Something to take into account if you're a private candidate!
