do you mean limescale? that's just because it's a hard water area. I mean I don't know that for a fact, but that's what I'd assume. So you just need to de-scale your kettle more frequently.

London tap water's fine to drink: millions do :wink: I did t'other day!
Of course its safe, were not in a developing country!
Aw my comment got deleted. It was just a joke. You'd have to be a right idiot to take me seriously and actually put arsenic in the water. :frown:

Yeah, just limescale. We don't get it in Scotland cause we have soft water.
Also means you have to use tons more bubble bath down here compared to Scotland, and up there it takes longer to wash all the soap out of your hair.

</random fact>

When I moved down to Devon for the summer (soft water) from Surrey/London (hard water) it used to take me bloody hours to get all the shampoo out of my hair. Oh well. Live and learn eh?

Yes, london water is fine to drink :p:
Scale is just salts and ions in the water. It's not grit or anything. :p:
It's just a hard water area, it's safe :smile:
you should drink beer not water because beer has been blessed by the blessed ambrose.

it is a conspiracy by aliens to get bad alien salts into you and then when they turn on their mind control rays you will turn

into a large turnip like slave to the alien overlords who will then do hienious things to you until you learn to spell heinious better than i can but i can tell you that it is alllllll bad bad bad and ...oh no they are coming to get me save me from turnipification.
