1. When was the dual alliance signed?
The dual alliance was signed in 1879.

2. When was the triple alliance signed?
The triple alliance was signed in 1881

3. Why did Britain leave splendid isolation?
Britain left the splendid isolation because they realised they may need some allies just in case war broke out.

4. What did they do when they left splendid isolation?
When they left the splendid isolation they signed a treaty with Japan in 1902 which was only to do with trade and the Entente Cordiale was signed with France in 1904.

5. Describe the terms of Entente Cordiale?
The terms of the Entente Cordiale were that Britain take Egypt and France would not interfere and France would take Morroco and Britan would not interfere. Also, both of them would share trading around far east. It was not a defensive treaty.

6. Describe the terms of the Anglo-Russian agreement?
The terms of Anglo - Russian agreement was that Britain would take part of Persia and Afghanistan.

7. Describe the terms of the Triple Entente?
The terms of Triple Entente stated that they had to support each other.

8. Describe the main feature of British Alliances before WW1?
The main features of the British Alliance were the Entente cordiale and Triple Entente.
