Rugby World Cup 2015 Predictions Competition
Hi all,
I've spoken to Queen Cersei at the CT and, obviously subject to interest, I will be running a Rugby World Cup 2015 predictions competition.
The rules of the competition will be as follows:
1) Picks are made by posting in this thread.
2) Picks should be made in the format England to beat Fiji by 12 or Tonga to draw with Georgia. As rugby has such a wide range of possible scores, I'm only asking for an outcome and a margin.
3) Anyone may compete in the competition at any stage by posting picks for any matches to be played, but obviously the best way to win the competition is to post a pick for every game. Remember, if you don't make a pick, you cannot score any points.
4) Picks need to be made 24 hours before the match in question kicks off. On a Sunday evening I will try to post the fixtures for the coming week, as well as calculating the results.
5) Picks should not be changed once they are posted, so once I have been online and logged them, they are final.
6) Scoring will be as follows:
1 point for a correct outcome: win for team 1, win for team 2 or draw.
1 extra point for the closest margin of all of our predictors: this doesn't necessarily imply you got the correct outcome - if a match is won by 1 point, a prediction of a draw is closer than a prediction of a win by 3.
1 extra point for getting the margin totally correct.
