Gateway Interview..

Hiya. Has anyone had an interview for the gateway course at the RVC.

I have one soon and Im rather worried.
Does anyone know if its the same in structure as an ordinary veterinary interview?

hey.. i had my interview yesterday. i think it went well, i'm pleased with the way i answered their questions, lets just hope they are.

dont worry about it too much, i was, but i got in there and they were really friendly. id already met one of them on the open day and they were really nice, so i was really relieved when i saw that i had her.

Ahh Im glad it went well for you!

Do they ask anything to clinical.. or is it quite general?

it was very much about my work experience and my academic interests

i had prepared for things like bird flu and other current issues. but they didnt come up . but i would advise you to prepare for them just incase they do

Mine went good (I think) thankyou Nyan. They will look at your personal statement, so prepare yourself for any questions they may ask you about it (i.e. work experience, future plans), as they will look at it. Also, know that the most important part about being a vet is communication (with customers/ clients and the nurses).
The best thing to do is be relaxed and let them know how much you want it and how determined you are.
