Having strange feelings re guy in forum

For the last couple of weeks I've been pming a guy who posts on here, and against my better judgement, I'm intrigued to know more :eek:

This is of course crazy because he could be a total weirdo and jerk. I don't want a bf at the moment, it's great to independent, eek please help me to decide, it's not fair to mess somebody about if you're not 100% interested in getting to know them.

Anyone any ideas?

You don't have to feel bad about wanting to know more, see him as a friend, simple. Just do let him know this though (although maybe he just sees you as a friend or 'internet buddy' too). Nothing to worry about.

And good job about the 'being skeptical' about meeting, there are indeed a lot of psychos on the net and if you do feel the need to meet anyone, do it in a public area :smile:

......also don't get too carried away with personal info....just because he wants to disclose his, doesn't mean you have to.

Everyone sounds/seems great over pms. I recently spoke (about a week ago) to a very silly individual who at first seemed perfectly normalish, turned out to be a right ****.

Nah, but serious I've been in your boat before. Yeh I had my reasons of concern in the beginning but it's all good now. But yeh do becareful there's many weirdos out there but there are also some lovely people out there. Give it a go. You don't need to become serious...just start chatting.

I was in the same position as you, kept pming a guy and wanting to know more.

2 weeks later I flew to Rotterdam to meet him, 2 years on, we are living together in The Hague.

There are many idiots and pervs out there, so just becareful!

You could always set up a webcam chat with them - or arrange to meet up, though obviously be careful with that, there are some dodgy ppl about.

Sometimes it works out... I've met loads of people off the internet and whilst you should take basic precautions, most of the time they're normal, fun people at the other side.

I met my current girlfriend through TSR (we are university together) :redface:

Unless you're highly good looking, and willing to travel to my house every time to meet, just pretend you're pming me for fun. And if you like buying me things (food, chocolate, alcohol) thats a bonus. Really, don't come to my door with flowers, take donuts instead.
