    its the first time since 1881 that the planet Venus, the hottest planet in our solar system will cross the sun.

    no-one alive has ever seen it, and the next transit won't be visible from the UK untill 2117!

    BBC one coverage starts at 6.00am, Venus is meant to start its transit around 6.15am if you can't get to a tv here is a link for web feeds:

    no, venus is covered in active volcanoes.

    I'll be up at 6.30 to do some last minute revision for my 9am exam, can't be doing with all the projector stuff though. Might have a quick look at one of the web transmissions. Less eye damage that way.

    Well, if it looked any good, then maybe.
    I mean the eclipse did look kinda cool, but this looks like theres a spot on the lens or something.

    i saw it. i looked at the sun through binoculars and a uv filter, but it really wasn't that spectacular!
