Toothache

Got a filling on Wednesday, as apparently I had a hole in one of my teeth. However, since then I've had a bit of toothache in the area the filling is. It's not as unbearable as last night, and is not really constant but it's still annoying. I wish I'd never bothered as I've never had toothache for years before now.

Is it normal to get a bit of ache after a filling? Sorry - never had one for years.

When I had a toothache after getting a filling done, they'd trapped a nerver in the filling! And I ended up having to hav root canal!

But they do normally take a few days to settle, but if it's there after about a week, I'd go back to the dentist to get it checked out as you might have an infection or something.

Thanks. I hope I don't have to have a root canal. How painful are they?

I'm sitting here now and there's no pain whatsoever, so hopefully it is just settling.

It shouldn't be painful at all... providing they jab your gums with that 12inch needle to numb your mouth the whole day.
