Hey there, i was just wondering what English Literature was like at a level. I personally think English literature is amazing and in GCSE i preferred to talk about the historical significance of a text and applying different criticisms to the text (Feminist critique) ect even though it was required so will a a level English literature be like this? I'll be doing AQA A spec so any advice on this specification will be gratefully appreciated. I'll also be studying The Great Gatsby, Othello and The rotters club so yeah (Any info on the rotters club would be great as i've read Othello and the great Gatsby)

Also i enjoy writing essays if that helps at all hahah.

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific Study Help forum should help get responses.

I'm going to quote in Tank Girl now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

Yep, at A2 we had to give a feminist reading of a text for our coursework. You'll likely enjoy it but it's a massive step up from GCSE.
