I noticed that a requirement of the Art and Design PGCE was a relevant Art degree. Since you're required to choose two specialisms on the Primary Education course would it be possible to study the Art PGCE if I chose to specialise in Art and Design on my Primary Education course? (I'd like to keep my teaching options open)

Im not sure if you would need to. If you have art at a high level and you have gained QTS from your primary degree your already a qualified teacher so i presume you could teach art at secondary level if you have enough knowledge e.g. A-Level. I think It would depend on the school though.
