Examiner CANCELLED test!

So I was all psyched up to take my test on Thursday. I'd picked the perfect time and day in half term, so not too busy. And then I find out two hours beforehand that the examiner had cancelled on me!! I was absolutely fuming. I know they get ill too, but still! Just thought I'd share my anger. Any more anti-examiner hatred rants would be most welcome...

heard one time round that a examiner cancelled a test because just as they were about to start he had the runs lol

This has happened to me, it's so annoying isn't it?!

I have no helpful advice, except if your test centre has a long waiting list keep checking for cancellations. Have you got a new date yet?

That is exactly the same thing that happened to me- literally as my driving instructor pulled up outside my house to take me to my test we got a call saying my terst had been cancelled!

I know its a pain in the ass but just try and get cancellations-You'll get a refund too :smile:

As long as you get a refund it should be fine... kind of inconvenient though...

Sometimes if the test before gets stuck in traffic, they have to cancel the next test like 20 minutes before the next person is to take their test. If that happened to me I would be fuming!

Thanks for the sympathy guys, much appreciated! At first DSA said there was no room for another booking for a whole month! But kicked up a fuss and finally got a cancellation for Wednesday hoorah. Fingers crossed eek.

Good luck on your test!

This happened to me, twice! And both times I was actually sitting in the waiting room! The examiners were in a pay dispute so were working to rule, meaning they got back late. Grrrr...

They are obliged to pay you for an hour of instructor car rental too. Don't let them get away with that, even if you don't have an instructor to pay!

My first test was touch and go whether or not it was going to go ahead because of snow. It did and I failed but I told everyone it was cancelled until the other night when I'd had a bit too much to drink :redface:
