Just thought I should clarify that I'm not planning on doing both the jobs I've applied for, if offered both! The interviews fall in the same week. I've applied for this role with The Sutton Trust in case I don't get the other job I applied for at Wigmore Hall (Wigmore Hall job being my preference, as it's a permanent contract!)

Good luck with the interviews, I'm sure you will smash both of them 🙂 But yeah, definitely makes sense to apply to more than one job!

Thank you! Hoping to hear around this time next week whether I have an interview for Wigmore Hall! :excited: I think The Sutton Trust one is a bit more wobbly/less likely interview-wise, as the role requires quantitative data skills :ninja:

It's a bit cooler here today, so I'm in study sessions with friends, doing some reading for Ch4. I'm really ****ed off with myself because second supervisor suggested I included quotes from a book I'd already read, in Ch4. Did I read it? Yes! Did I make detailed notes from it or unline the book? No

So am having to re-read this book. I don't even like the bloody book, grrrr :grumble: At least a citation in a different book chapter has given me an idea of which chapter in this annoying book I need to read  but still! :shakecane:

Once I've got through annoying book, then there's only one book to skim-read for Ch4 - then all the reading should be done, ready for me to start weaving literature into the chapter docs. Then I can progress to editing! :work:

That's very annoying about the annoying book! 🤬. Well done for continuing to plough on with the chapter of doom though - sounds like you are making great progress

Thank you. It's starting to feel a tiny bit less doomful, so hopefully that's a good sign! Though this annoying book is really making me annoyed, lol :colondollar:

Oh how annoying - have you searched your laptop in case you called it something weird?

Thanks @black tea , I've got a Magnum waiting in the freezer for me later

@Muttley79 : having opened the book and started re-reading some of it, I can see I have read and underlined some relevant passages - it's just there's so few of them (relevant passages) that I didn't initially notice there were annotations/underlinings :teehee: Am just gonna skim-read one chapter and see how that goes :ninja:

The book editor has just sent me his feedback (despite him being in Greece on holiday, lol!). Too scared to open the document (I get very angsty about feedback), but his cover note is very encouraging and it sounds like he liked reading it, so that's good :colondollar:

Be brave - I bet it's good 🙂

Leaving it won't change it and there's that Magnum sitting there

I went to the freezer and realised I'd already eaten the last remaining Magnum :cry2: I genuinely thought I had another one left to eat, but no

Thanks for the encouragement: I've read through his feedback and it's all very fair and minimal. He wants me to add a citation about glam rock in the UK in the 1970s (when ABBA did Eurovision), but that's the biggest thing to deal with - so not bad at all! :h:

I won't say 'I told you' ...

Did you know Slade started out as a skinhead band before their glam rock era?

That is very tragic indeed about running out of Magnums ☹️. You are welcome to share mine though - I have a whole box! 🙂

I'm glad the feedback is good
