Sorry to hear that you think graduation is going to be tough, but hopefully they can put things in place for you to still enjoy it

Thank you so much. I asked them if my friend (who works at Royal Holloway and is known to the graduation team) can be with me while I queue up to cross the stage. The graduation team has organised that and apparently are planning to show me around the hall before everyone else comes in, so I can get my bearings. This year they also have a 'quiet room' for students with sensory or other needs, so they've offered me use of that too (which I've accepted).

Still feeling very on edge about the whole thing tbh but a bit less so now that these things have been offered/put in place :colondollar:

That all sounds very positive 🙂 wonder if sitting on the end of a row might be good too?

I would have asked for that but I'm the penultimate person of the ceremony, afaik - so I should be on the front row and almost at the end anyway :colondollar:

Could they consider you receiving your award in front of the stage so you don't have to queue on steps?

I believe there are no steps that I queue on: we come from a tunnel straight onto the back of the stage, I think. But this is a good thing to investigate! I'll double-check whether steps are involved. Thanks for the suggestion :hugs:

Saw my psychiatric nurse today. At my request/with my agreement, she has referred me to the local home treatment team (to avoid ending up sectioned in hospital further on down the line). The HTT will phone me tomorrow to organise an assessment. If they take me on, they will hopefully see me every day (at least, at first) until things calm down

Thanks :hugs: Things pretty grim this end. Been under the home treatment team for a week (though we've moved to every other day, down from everyday). They've increased my antidepressant and given a sleeping pill which also helps with agitation - so that's good. Finding things hard

You will be fine!! Take it day by day and then one morning you’ll wake up with wonderful memories of the day before. It will all go off without a hitch. Trust yourself!

It's tomorrow :headfire:

I will report back on the weekend to let you all know how it went, as we're going for a family dinner after leaving campus :colondollar:
