Hello, I want to study French as an A-level but I need an A in it by the end of A2 to get into the course I want at Uni, I am willing to put in as much effort as possible to get an A. I got an A in french at GCSE, I was wondering if it was possible and is there any tips for this?

Hiya, you should definitely consider it! It does depend on the board you are going to do it with though - I've just done AS AQA French and it was pretty standard, apart from a couple difficult topics on homosexuality in families and drugs and eating disorders among friends that you have to discuss in your oral. I know next year it becomes way more focussed on the French culture, so stuff like literature, poetry and film. It is notoriously difficult to get an A* at French A2 because translation is marked so harshly.
If I could recommend anything it would be to stay on top of your topic vocab. You could write mini flash cards for verbs or just keep a list per sub-topic and hang it by your bed or something. Oh and also Duolingo will become your new best friend. It starts off pretty basic and gets harder and its just a great way to maintain your language.
Hope this helps!

sure!
okay so:
http://bonpatron.com - this is great for checking your french work for grammar/spelling mistakes
https://www.duolingo.com - literally my life saver
http://www.languagesonline.org.uk/Hotpotatoes/Index.htm - really good and simple exercises for topic specific grammar and vocab (there are resources for the AS and A2 course)
http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects...95-W-SP-14.PDF - this is the specification. I printed this off (only the relevant bits otherwise your parents/school will get annoyed with you!) and stuck it at the front of my folder just so its always there and so I don't forget about it

also check with your school and see if they have any subscriptions to other language websites like Zut, maybe Linguascope
