It does, can't remember the cost but I know you can buy two subscriptions, one's like an 'early riser' which means you can use it cheaper earlier, one's a 'full' subscription. Or pay as you go. Can't help other than that
There are also a huge number of Sports clubs which you can also join, which you might find more fun than going to the gym on your own

If you check www.su.rhul.ac.uk, go to Activities and then Athletic Union and there's a link there to a list of all the sports clubs you can join.

The early riser is about £75 (from 7.30am til 2pm) and the full membership is about £140 I think. It's open from 7.30am til about 8 or 9 I think but I'm not sure about the closing times. It's got pretty standard equipment - bikes, rowing machines, running machines, cross trainer, weights room erm and other stuff that I can't remember.

Might be a little late here, but the gym at Holloway is pretty poor. The weights room is tiny and cramped, and the weights machines aren't the standard ones I have seen in every other gym I've been in.

If you've been to a bigger gym you'd be disappointed, but if you're there just for a run/cycle it does the job.

does the gym have seperate areas for males and females? or is it generally mixed?

it's a mixed gym. and i think the poster was trying to say it's pretty standard, nothing that impressive. it's a tiny room really when u think about it.

Yes, RHUL has a gym.

If you're planning on going, join at the start of the year to receive a discount on the year.

Well I don't know for sure, since naturally I've never enquired being male, but on the side it states a time in the week when its females only. I assume its right and not old and outdated. Best ring the gym to find out.
