you make the assumption that this aid actually gets put to good use.

handouts stagnate economic, and more importantly, political reform.
Again it all depends on the type of aid.

aid should never be stopped, it is a short term solution to help those less fortunate and hopefully let them have a better life before they die as long as it goes to the right place.

personally i'm not surprised the BNP has such policies, their whole "party" is based on ignorance, greed and selfishness.

The funny thing is people trying to disguise this as anything other than an unwillingness to help foreigners.

So sensationalistic and mis-guided that it makes me feel sorry for you.

I'm sure some of the Psychology students on UKL could confirm from his posts that he is clinically paranoid. Maybe they recommend some drugs or something - it is indeed a sad sight.

I don't agree with the BNP policy but it is important that the aid we give is useful otherwise it is wasted. i think in the long run giving aid to the 3rd world will help the global economy, but also thinks like fair trade are better as they are more sustainable. The Slogan: Fair trade not aid, comes to mind.

This isn't a black and white issue and their certainly isn't any definitive answer (and cutting all aid overnight certainly isn't it). Sex, Drugs and Economics gives this issue a pretty decent overview if anyone is interested.

bearing in mind his previous posts, ive assumed that he means we need saving culturally more than anything else. its logical to assume that the right-wing parties will retain more of our present culture into the future.

according to the compass, it seems im rather moderate. i have been further towards 2 in the libertarian direction, but remain centrist in comparison with the extremist figures ive seen from some members who have -5.xx
