Difference Between a CV and a Personal Statement

Hi,
I've got a college interview tomorow and am creating a Personal Statement. The thing is, I don't know how it differs from the Skills and Interests part of my CV. Is the Personal Statement simply a more detailed version of some parts of the CV, or am I meant to include something more in it?

A personal statement is more of an essay about yourself - see example in the TSR Wiki. A CV is a list of achievements/activities etc.

CV: a summary of a person’s educational qualifications, skills, and professional history.
Personal Statement: Same as above
