Reading Internet Speeds

Starting at Reading this year in Mackinder Hall and I was wondering what the internet speeds are like. The only posts I could find didn't give a very good impression (~4Mbps) but they are now 2-3 years old. Have things improved since then?
Hello,

The internet at uni is pretty speedy. I don't know the exact Mbps but most halls now have wifi as well as on the rest of campus. Of course if you are walking through campus the wifi might not be as good (campus is very big!) but in all the buildings there is wifi.

Feel free to ask any more questions!

I am hoping so! I am going to be in Mackinder as well, I currently get 150Mbps at home, so 4Mbps will be quite a change!

I was in Stenton Townhouses last year, but all the park group halls have access to eduroam wifi. It's pretty fast, about 50MB to 100MB, but can slow down at peak times.
