Shoes crisis!

Hello
I'm starting at Hull university on the 28th September (eeek!) to do adult nursing.
I was just wondering whether anyone knew Hulls policy on shoes.. whether they have to have laces.. can be slip ons.. etc? I'm looking at getting a pair of Clarks unloops as they feel really comfortable and look long lasting, but I aren't sure whether they are allowed.
Looking at buying them very soon so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jenny

Most trusts say all black and a closed shoe to protect from needles/bodily fluids.
