I'm doing A2 English Literature with the AQA exam board and my main novels are Rebecca by Du Maurier and Othello by Shakespeare.
Is anyone else studying these, especially Rebecca, although it's a great romance I want to improve my essay writing and not just focus on cliches so having other peoples views on the story would be good.

I'm going to quote in Tank Girl now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

Hi, whilst I'm not studying Othello I am studying Rebecca as I'm using it for my comparative piece alongside Jane Eyre. What part of the novel are you mainly focusing on though, mine is particularly on the characterisation of strong female characters.
