i'm just genuinely surprised by the amount of girls who say their breasts aren't very sensitive! mind you, i suppose a lot of the girls responding are about 18 or younger, and breasts can carry on developing for a good few years after that so there's probably some connection there.

yeah but you said you have had possible nerve damage! anyway, i'm sure breasts just aren't as erogenous for some girls as they are for others - like men and their testicles i guess. Are people actually genuinely offended that i profess to having sensitive breasts?! i just assumed most people would have similar reactions  obviously i'm wrong, i don't mean to offend anyone!

oh ok that's alright  x x x
The size of your boobs may have something to do with it as all women's breasts have the same number of nerve endings regardless of size. Therefore it makes sense that the smaller your breasts, the more densely packed the nerve endings are so any feeling may well be more intense. However, that doesn't account for all the girls with big boobs (including myself) popping up to say their boobs are really sensitive....damn I hate when science gets contradicted by reality.

awww, it's really not the be all and end all, it's just a nice bonus . i'm sure there are tonnes of things which turn other girls on that do absolutely NOTHING for me! we're all different (i feel like i'm on Barney now...well, apart from the sexual nature of the topic...!)

I'm not offended I'm the same. HIGH FIVE GRACE!

Nah not being stupid now when I was younger and less sensitive I coped. I found other nice things to do. It's not a health risk or anything and tbh I think lots of people aren't that sensitive. Most guys are shocked that I am so sensitive indicating the majority aren't. As long as they look good and aren't broke why worry

being bitten by a horse towards the cleavage on my left boob - took a bit of me with him!

OMG

YOu must of had a flash back or something. I can see a horse taking a bite out of my boob.
all that bs about science and reality... yeah the area is supplied by 3 main nerves but they branch as many times as necessary to cover the surface area present. fat people don't have less feeling. that'd be silly.
bright star

Your choice of degree should mean you know that receptor fields are much larger and overlap less in the thoracic and abdominal areas than in areas like the fingertips, allowing changes over a larger area to be detected but not allowing for precise perception. Convergence is lower in areas with larger receptor fields and there is less lateral inhibition. I wasn't talking about nerves I was talking about nerve endings - and all women's breasts have the same number, regardless of their size, they don't increase in number as the breasts grow. The aforesaid science (not bull****) could mean that perceived sensitivity is reduced in women with large breasts, as it makes sense that when skin is required to cover a larger area, the receptor fields get even larger. It doesn't necessarily mean that, as I have already said, as there are many other factors which could affect sensitivity. But I have read some reports on obesity that recorded a perceived loss of sensation in areas of the body less vital for tactile acuity, such as the breasts and belly. Think twice before calling me silly, I do know what I'm talking about.

Yeah im 13...36 C :s-smilie:
So far no one has given a definative answer on to whether or not this is normal but I'd like to qualify what people are answering. There are different sections of a persons breast. The upper cleavage, lower cleavage, side boob, the area around the areola, the areola, and then the nipple. My breast size is a 34D but my right breast is about a third of a cup smaller. Using a clip I tested my breast not for numbness but for a lack of pain response. My upper cleavage has the normal abount of pain associated with attaching a clip. It hurt and so I removed it immediately, my lower cleavage however showed no immediate pain response but after about 5 minutes the area started to feel sore. The side boob didnt begin to hurt until after about 30 seconds. The area around the areola only started to feel sore after around 3 minutes. I felt a jolt and kind of pulsing but not too hurtful pain when I clipped the areola. And I couldn't let the clip close and release it on my nipple like I did on all the other areas because the pain response was immediate. Now has what I've classified helped clarify if we're all talking abou different sections or have I exposed classified information for no reason?
A bit of a late response but still
I have this breast insensitivity as well, and I was wondering if you guys are ticklish. I’m not ticklish (only if you slowly tickle my back), so I was curious as to whether there was some correlation there.
