Halifax Bank Interview

Hi

Just wanted some info, i have an interview with Halifax Bank. I very confindent in my interview skills its just when they stated i will also have to do a Numeracy Test, i have never done one.

I just wanted some help, maybe a website that tells you what you have to learn, or feedback from yourselves would be grateful. The position is for a customer service advisor.

not sure if this would help, but last summer I tried getting a job at Barclays

the telephone interview had a small numerical test which was basic % questions. I passed that. Then when to the face to face assessment where there were 20 questions about cheques that you had to answer!

Simple questions like why do you want to work for us? Tell me a time where you gave outstanding customer service? Tell me a time where you have made a mistake, and what did you do? Or Tell me a time where you have not given a good customer service?

i didn't get any maths questions but there again my job is more to sit there and argue all day rather than do anything financial. i got questions such as 'tell me about a time when you have had to deal with an angry customer and what did you do to resolve the situation' the interrogation comes when you get the face to face interview.

Well today i had my interview with Halifax,

Firstly it was the interview, where they asked about how i would deal in certain situation i.e. angry customers...also asked me about my experinces with customer service.

One that was over i had a roleplay, one on one with the interviewer, they were prentending to be the customer, my role play was based on:

The customer wants to buy a house, and they have a savings account. how would you advise them how to go about that.

Then you get the Verbal and Numarcery test, which lasts about an hour.
And you get your answer wuthin the week according to the interviewer

I had an online numeracy test they ask several math questions like 60x? -57= 243 you have 10 secs to calc then 5 secs to respond and enter to next question.
