calling all non drinking freshers!

I'm looking for anyone, like me, going to Kingston University, that doesn't like partying or drinking either. It'd be great to get together and do something else for a change.

You realise that there are people out there who like partying and drinking but ALSO like doing things other than partying and drinking? Why are you excluding them?

Because they'll be busy partying and drinking during freshers...right?

You think people drink and party 24 hours of the day?

A lot of the time they will just be chilling out, chatting, socialising. I don't know what you were planning exactly, but a lot of them will probably want to join in with you.

Knowing crazy teenagers, they'll pretty much be going all out.

But then again, you do have a point there. It's better to find some beforehand though innit?

I think people have an exaggerated view of what freshers week is actually like. Its mainly just standing around chatting and getting to know people.

People do different stuff: they might watch a film, they might go out for a meal, they might play some pool, they might just sit around in a pub and talk about politics.

Yeah some people will be drinking alcohol at various points, but that doesn't mean you have to drink alcohol as well or that you can't still hang out with them if you're not.

and yeah, some people might stay up late and go to a nightclub at the end of a night, but that doesn't mean you have to go and it doesn't mean you can't still hang out with them for the rest of the evening.

You'll make friends with your flatmates, your coursemates and your clubmates. You don't need to consciously divide people into drinkers and non-drinkers, because most people won't care either way.
