anybody? :frown:
I did this piece of coursework a couple of weeks ago so it's still fresh in my mind

Some tips that my teacher told me:

Write it in a lively/entertaining tone as this is the general style that reviews are written in. Look at other film reviews on the internet/in magazines to see how other reviewers achieve this. This bit is important for the higher grades as it shows that you can adapt your style of writing for different purposes.

Another thing is to comment on how the film uses different techniques and do this by using technical film vocabulary like CGI.

Also make sure to give your own opinion on the film and say why you liked/didn't like it.

One of the conventions of reviews is that they usually have a title which is funny so if possible try and think of one.

Oh and be original in use of language like unusual phrases.

Are you reviewing The Matrix by the way?

Hope I've helped

Hi- I've done this before as well. Just try to have a look at some other film reviews, and it's good to make sure that the tone of the review is engaging and interesting. I did mine on Les Mis, so it was useful to have a look at some of the props and staging they used to portray the story. Hope that helped

Hello i have to hand this peice of coursework in by next week but im really stuck on what to do!
i dont know a layout etc or anything.
so i was wondering if anybody knew anything about writing a good film reveiw and how i can make it like A grade
the film review was meant to be in last year but i had a month off school and so never got to do it and my teacher is hardly any help.

thanks!

I did mine last year when I was in year 10 and got an A*. I did mine on a Bourne film. Are you doing AQA? because I was gutted when my teacher told me shae can't submit the film review as the board didn't recognise the task anymore
