Textbooks for Biology and Chemistry

What textbooks are recommended for OCR A Biology and Chemistry? I'm taking both subjects for A2 as well.

Also I have looked online for some textbooks and I wasn't sure whether to buy a separate AS and then A2 book or a book which contains both years. Both books are published by the same people.

I'd get either the Oxford university press or hodder education ones :smile:
At school I've been told to buy the year 1 and 2 books separately, but tbh it's up to you, obviously the ones for both years will be bulkier to carry around but will probably be cheaper overall than buying one for each year. You could ask your teacher what one they recommend as at my sixth form they told us what one to buy.

I honestly used the CGP textbooks and skimmed over the 'official' textbooks for the exam board (mine was AQA) as they have a lot of bull.

Then Past papers, Past papers, Past papers.
