You metabolism slows down and you'll have a low blood sugar. Also if you skip a meal your next meal that you do eat will almost all be stored as fat to make up for what you lost. All in all it's just a bad habit which doesn't result in weight loss and in the long run can damage your body.

It's in general not very healthy and you'd be surprised how something like this could stuff up your immune system :s-smilie:

But what if it has been resulting in weight loss...?

Trust me, it's not good! I'm not trying to lose any weight but sometimes because of a busy schedule I've skipped breakfast and I'm not surprised I got a cold the other week (that and late nights).

Just eat something light, but frequently. It sounds expensive but you can eat fruit and that's cheap.

Hope that helps  x

It can affect you in different way skipping meals, I must admit that I have done it on one too many ocassions( usually breakfast, wen im running late) and it´s not good. I get moody, tired and cannot concentrate on work. Some people on the other hand like my cousin are not used to having breakfast and have somthing small to eat late in the morning like 11:30 as having breakfast at like 8 or 9 upsets her stomach.

But don´t skip meals, it really messes you up

I sometimes miss dinner if I had a big lunch (ie: pub lunch) surely that's not bad?

Actually I've heard that's not as bad as skipping breakfast. But it's still not overly healthy  :p:
