Lots of jewellery shops - LOL.

Seriously - I don't do much night time stuff as I have to come home for the kids but the gay area by the Arcadian Centre/Chinatown is brilliant for clubs and bars. Mr Eggs in Chinatown is the best chippy ever when you're off your face:yep: enormous battered sausages.

Shopping is truly excellent - Mailbox is for when you have serious spondoolies to spend with Harvey Nicks etc, Bullring is for your average person -like me - but with Selfridges on one end and Debenhams on t'other, and loads of High St shops in between.

Best bit ever - the Krispy Kremes in Selfridges:biggrin:

I go to uni around the corner from you in Summer Row - brilliant bar - Apres - good for coffee breaks and Xmas parties(from experience)

Broad Street is the main student hangout though with heaps of bars, clubs and restaurants. If you want a really decent cheap curry though - get a taxi or drive out to the Balti Triangle. I had to market this one year as part of my live marketing project and it is such a vibrant area with superb curry houses for so little money!

Have a look at this website - It's a nice enough area to visit. I was stood out in the cold on a winter night with several team members gathering data via surveys - so it's definitely safe enough as well.

Oh wow, thanks!! That website looks like it will come in very useful. *bookmarks*

The last thing London needs is another Tory. We already have that floppy-haired arse.

Wot, me?

Town Hall and Symphony Hall occasionally have some good classical concerts, if that's your bag.

And there's a big yellow vintage clothing shop in Digbeth, if you're interested.

Also go see the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (they have a fab tea room), but be aware that exposure to excessive Pre-Raphaelitism can cause nausea and irritation :p:
