The Boosh
you cheeky bitch!!!!

i hope you develop a horrible yorkie accent.

I'll see what I can do. Maybe Hooll-girl can help me there...:p:

Reply 1004

I think this Hooll-girl is lying about her place of origin. No Hullite pronounces it Hooll, but 'Ull. The accent is very different from the York accent though. The pope in York is a porp; in Hull he's a perp.

Reply 1005

either way it all sounds dirty.

Reply 1006

You're all weird :p:

*gasp* An impostor!
Or maybe I'm just really bad at transcribing. I'm pretty sure I heard the H, though.

Of course, but that's why you like us so much, no?:p:

I'm a posh southern lass. Someone from HO at work is from the North and she thinks we all speak "the Queen's English" when she comes down. Errr no love, you've just come further south than the Thames, that's all

Jaysus, sticky, you sound like a real snob...

Btw, Southern lass? Oxymoron alert!

Not a snob, we just get really annoyed when people come down to us and think we're all plum in mouth types, when it's actually the normal area accent

She winds us up, we wind her up

I know what you mean - I have a normal Southern accent that sounds terribly posh around these parts, and it's kind of embarrassing. I want to shed my poncey accent for something with a bit more character.

Reply 1016

You should suddenly develop a really random accent and just say you've been on holiday somewhere?

Mine's got elements of gloucs in it due to my best mate which sounds really odd at times

Reply 1017

I can't help but mimick people's accents. I got a verbal warning at work for doing it, despite doing it unintentionally. If a customer was Scottish, I'd start uncontrollably telling them the price of their books with a scottish lilt :s-smilie:

Just, thought I would share that.

Character, eh? Shall I fix you up with Hooll-girl?
