I have no clue how to do these sorts of questions ..

The textbook does not provide much information on how to do it

    Express (y + a)^2 (x - a)^3 + (x - a)^2 as a product of factors

    Express (4 - z)^2 (2 - z) + p(2 - z) as a product of factors

It's asking you to fatorise the expressions. If you have x^2+xy, you could factorise (express as a product) to x(x+y). Surely the book talks about factorisation?!
