Just starting my second year of A-levels by the way, ie. planning on starting uni next year. I know these are on the optimistic/ideal end of things but I may as well aim high for now.
I’ve kinda decided on Brighton as the go-to location and American Studies as the perfect degree for me. With University of Sussex, they have American Studies but the grade boundaries are high - ABB.
University of Brighton have lower grade boundaries at BBC, making it a great insurance choice, but the trouble is they don’t offer American Studies. They do offer a course which sounds very similar, except it’s not centered on America. (There’s two courses actually, which sound similar: ‘History, Literature and Culture’ and ‘Globalisation: History, Politics, Culture’.)
This was what I was wondering: are those courses similar at all?
Also is there anyone who's done/is studying any of these courses, or anything similar at other locations, or has any relevant info?
