I am about to go into AS year and have already done my GCSEs. I achieved one A* in biology, 6 other As (including chem, phys and maths) and also 4 Bs.
However, I had circumstances which I believe affected my performance.
I'd like to know if anyone has got into medicine with GCSEs like mine, and if I'm at a severe disadvantage because of them.
Also, could someone please message me so they can review my extenuating circumstances to see if they would make a difference to my application?
    Thanks in advance.

They're not bad GCSEs at all - most Medical Schools still should be open to you and you're not at a severe disadvantage by any means. You'll just need to apply strategically now when the time comes, avoiding GCSE-heavy Med Schools such as Oxford and you'll have a shot.

Thanks for the reply. Based on my results and the fact that I have extenuating circumstances, assuming my AS, Ukcat etc turn out okay, where do you think I should apply?

I got 3A*, 3As, 5Bs at GCSE. I am starting at King's studying medicine next week and also held an offer with Leicester and had an interview at Imperial. Apply stratigically to Uni's that focus more on AS and UKCAT, I suggest you start researching Uni's now. Good luck!
