I bought a CGP A-level Biology and Chemistry student book and it seems pretty good compared to the Nelson thornes one which seemed far too overcrowded which made it difficult to understand. I'm planning to take notes from the Textbook. Should I use a revision guide too when making the notes or would the textbook be enough? Thank you

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you’ve posted in the right place? Posting in the specific Study Help forum should help get responses.

I'm going to quote in Tank Girl now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

I'd use both! I found that sometimes the textbook had things that the guide was missing and vise versa. For example, at A2 Bio the CGP books didn't have anything about Peritoneal Dialysis and the textbook did. It then came up in the exam and my friends who used the revision guide were stuck! I used them both along with the course criteria as a checklist to make revision notes that contained everything.

Use both at the same time. I found that some bits are missed out in one book, but included in the other.
