Studying in Europe is an idea I flirted with earlier in the year and to be honest I wish I'd spent more time considering it before I start this year.

Do you or anyone reading this know or have any experience with the process of transferring from an English university to a reputable European one?

Transfers can be difficult to arrange as UK/Euro Unis will tend to have different course structures and assessment methods. A far better idea is to pick a UK Uni course with a Year Abroad. Even if your degree subject has no language or 'Euro' component, there are lots of opportunities. Here as an example is the list of possibilities at Bristol : http://www.bristol.ac.uk/internation...y/options.html

It's very strange they didn't mention Switzerland, too expensive probably.

Its not EU - and therefore there will be no mutual exchanges at no added cost to the student like in EU countries.

The Swiss fees for overseas students (as they would treat anyone from the UK) isnt that high - most Unis charge about £2,500 a year and the estimated living costs are £27,000 pa. More info here : http://www.studyinginswitzerland.ch/...rship-fees.htm
