Hi I was wondering if further maths is essential to stand a good chance of getting an offer and also what kind of GCSE grades would you be looking at to stand a good chance.

FM not essential but desirable. If your school didnt offer FM then give that a mention, otherwise take it for AS next year - application looks weak without it but you still stand a chance.

Most successful LSE applicants will have mostly A*s at GCSE and I believe LSE place a fair bit of weighting on them.

Not necessary but looks good. If you're planning to do 4 a2s, Would recommend dropping the least favuored and taking up FM

Hey I'm pretty sure further maths is needed for LSE> I am currently doing Maths (and bits of finance) at Imperial College, but when I got my offer from LSE it was pretty much on the basis of further maths IMO.
