not at all - be proud of having an interesting name - it makes you more individual
It gets immensely repetitive though. At least it's not my first name.

heheh, when people ask what my name is, a little conversation about it breaks off from there - a good little ice-breaker

I don't want to be proud... Everyone thinks I'm either Welsh or Scottish... I have 2 very uncommon names (for England) and one very common middle name.

For a boy: Andrew (Andy), Oliver, Michael, Damien, Luke, James (Jamie), Charles (Charlie...I don't actually like the name "Charles" itself, but hey), David, Matthew, Benjamin (Ben, Benny)

For a girl: Elizabeth (Beth, Lizzie, Eliza), Michaela (Mike), Carolyn, Clara, Hannah, Helen, Anne / Anna, Katherine (Kate), Amy, Lorna, Charlotte (Charlie....again, I don't actually like "Charlotte"), Olivia

and I can never decide if flower names are just too kitschy or not, but I do like: Lavender, Rose and Heather

    (okay...I know that's kind of a long list...sorry  )
